My first beach trip
I just got back from my first beach trip ever, and boy was it fun. There was all of this gritty stuff called sand, that was excellant to eat and play in. It stuck to everything and it was great for my gums. I don't think my mom was crazy about me eating it, but she finally just gave up on it and let me have it. Luke tried to show off, but I think I still was the talk of the beach; hanging out in my baby pool under the cabana, getting served cold juice. It was quite the life. I told mom we need to get a set up like that at home.--Jude
Myrtle Beach 08
Well here we are, our first beach trip of the year, and Jude's first beach trip ever. We had a great time. I wasn't too sure about the ocean, but every afternoon a tidepool came out of nowhere and it made a perfect kiddie pool. I didn't leave any sandcastles intact long enough for mom to take a picture of them, but I did enjoy building and destroying them. We also took a beach break and went to this cool place called Alligator Adventures where I saw this huge crocodile, turtles, snakes, otters, and of course alligators. My cousins, Morgan and Karsyn were at the beach too and I got to play with them everyday. Maw Maw and Paw Paw were there too, and I think I may have tired Paw Paw out. I caught him trying to take a nap every now and then. We had so much fun, that I can't wait to go going back to the beach in another week with my Nana and Granddaddy; so I hope they rest up.--Luke

Car wash
I have been working on this car wash thing for a couple of weeks, but I have finally got it. These squares can be quite tricky to get into place. When you do get them into the proper slot, this rather exciting music plays and all of these differnet sounds are made. I love it. I told mom she has to pack it to take it to the beach with us next week. I hope she doesn't forget.--Jude
baking cakes
This morning mom and I baked a pirate hat cake. It is chocolate with chocolate icing. I bet you never would have guessed that part. Icing the cake was way fun. Much more exciting than the actual cake baking. But I bet the eating of the cake is going to be even better.--Luke

Lazy summer days are here
Well we have finally convinced mom that the pool water had warmed up enough for us to take a dip. Jude loved the floaty boat and I am going crazy splashing and jumping into the water. I saw some big kid do this thing called a cannon ball, and I am going to learn how to do that too. It looked way cool.--Luke
I know that Luke spoke for me somewhat, but I wanted to let everyone know that floating around in this boat with a cold juice, is the way life should be. I'm digging summer already --Jude

Happy Baby
Everyone loves it when I am showing off these dimples. Mom says she knows I will be a lady killer with them. I don't know about that, but as long as I am getting some attention, I'm happy. I was actually trying so smile big enough to show mom and dad my new tooth that just came in. I am up to 5 teeth now and I think I have two more getting ready to appear. Luke points to them, but if he isn't careful, I will show him how sharp these new pearly whites are. --Jude

HAZMAT...
You know, I am really not sure how mom did it; but the other day she managed to get bubbles all over the kitchen. They were spilling out of the dishwasher and onto the floor. I was trying to tell her about it, but she kept insisting that we would play with bubbles later. Once she entered the kitchen though she realized quickly that I was trying to tell her, I was already playing with bubbles. It was great. Mom said we might as well get some towels and the mop and clean the floor if we were going to spread soap suds all over. I told her we needed to try this again, but she just smiled and said we'll see. I guess I will just have to wait and see what she can creat next.---Luke

My first Fish
Saturday I caught my first fish with dad!!! It was so exciting. First I to learn to bait my hook with real worms. I wasn't crazy about that part. Those things are wiggley. Then I threw the line out into the water and waited no so paiently for the cork to go under. Then I would reel them in. It was so cool, reeling them in and bringing them out of the water. I made dad take them off the hook and throw them back in the pond. Touching the fish seemed a little slimey to me. And I am not so sure about mouth action they have. I didn't want them biting me or anything. I showed a few of my catches to Jude. He thought the fish were cool too. I told him once he was bigger maybe I would let him fish with me and dad.--Luke

Peas
You want me to eat these?! I told mom that I knew she was on a go green kick, but I didn't think that meant we had to eat green food as well. Mom told me to try them at least, so I gave them a little taste and I muct say the first one I did not think was so great. But I tried another one and I started to kind of like them. I guess I will give it a whirl. Besides, Luke told me if I really didn't like them I could feed them to Reese and Sadie when mom isn't looking.--Jude

Rise and shine Luke
Usually Luke gets up before me and gets to come and jump in my bed. But this morning I beat him to the punch. I went to jump (well sort of jump) in his bed. Mom said he had some wild hair, and that I should feel fortunate that I don't have a mop top to tame yet. I guess being bald has its perks sometimes. The ladies seem to love it too, which is also an asset. Anyhow, after I went into Luke's room, Luke decided that he wanted to wear his shirt like mine. I don't know about this matching thing though. I think I like being my own baby. According to mom I have many different attributes (not sure about the meaning of this word) than Luke. She seems to think that I have a bit more temperment, I think of it as personality, and she says I am more vocal. I tell her its just my way of being heard over Luke these days. So therefore, I think there is no need for us to dress alike. Mom and I will discuss this when we have our afternoon time together. ---Jude

Computer Skill
Okay I hear that I can find all sorts of cool stuff on the internet, so I am teaching myself how to navigate around online. Jude and I have alot of stuff that we need to figure out. Things are going a little slow though, I am still on the alphabet page learning all of the letters. Mom says that it is a good place to start, because without knowing the alphabet I will not get very far. So wish me luck--Luke
Finally big enough
I am finally big enough to sit in the car the Nana and Granddaddy gave me for Christmas. I does all kinds of cool stuff. Luke is pretty jealous of it, so I have been nice enough to share every now and then. I really like to con Luke into pushing me around the house in it. I think it makes mom nervous, because Luke does tend to not look where he is going, but I think it is a riot. I think I overheard mom say that this is just the begining of the trouble we could cause. Wait til we really show her what we have in store (he he).--Jude
